Our Mission

To serve and mobilize the church to live out God's heart for the poor and fulfill the Great Commission.

Guiding Values

As a part of Campus Crusade for Christ we strive to fulfill the Great Commission within our own cities. At same time, we seek to be a ministry that is sensitive to the needs of the poor. In light of this we try to minister from a wholistic standpoint. We believe that the Christian walk entails three aspects:Holistic Ministry model

A personal walk with God: God desires that we have a vibrant personal relationship with Him.

A Ministry of Multiplication: God calls us light and salt; it's what we are as Christians. We haven't done anything worthy of it, it comes from our adoption. In light of this, we have adopted a certain Strategy.

A passionate Love: It's easy to love those we like. It's even easier to love those we like that are like us! However, God calls us to love the broken, weary, tired, alien, orphan, widow, and poor. Here's Life Inner City seeks to love the Downcast.

Methods - The Circle of Hope

While we at Here's Life Inner City do not have all the answers, we recognize that many of our inner city church partners do. They have the connections and experience within their communities that we will never have. However, many of our partners are often limited by economics, training, and volunteers. We at Here's Life wish to "serve and mobilize the church" by coming alongside churches to resource them so that they may reach out more effectively to the communities they are already serving.

In essence, all of our ministry revolves around the Circle of Hope.

Circle of Hope Diagram - Connect Empower Develop

We want to see our partner ministries connect with their communities through an Easter Bag or Box of Love outreach.

If our partners are actively connecting with the community, we try to empower them with volunteers by coordinating Short Term Mission Projects

Our hope is that all of the ministries that partner with us would develop their communities through active discipleship or programs like S.A.Y. Yes! after school centers.

Resourcing Church Partners

All of us are members of one body. A ministry to the poor cannot simply be run by us. We need the resources and expertise of non inner city churches.

For Example:

This year we will have the resources to make 250 Boxes of Love. However, we hope to facilitate the distribution of 800 Boxes of Love. This can only come about if we partner with those who have access to food and manpower.

We would like to open new S.A.Y. Yes! Centers. However, most inner city churches don't have the volunteers necessary to run an after school center in the inner city. To make this happen we would need committed volunteers to help with the more difficult parts of S.A.Y. Yes!

Our short term missions opportunities need people to who are called of God to come and minister to inner city Milwaukee.

If you or your church would like to get involved, please Volunteer.
