We packed the most PowerPacks (back packs filled with school supplies) in Milwaukee yet! We packed around 300 backpacks to give to churches around the city.
All of Here’s Life Inner City’s compassionate evangelistic efforts are designed to help establish relationships with the poor. Our hope is that these simple gifts of compassion will not only meet physical needs—often helping someone out of an immediate crisis—but provide a platform for addressing even more serious spiritual needs.
Each year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, we host several local churches & ministries as they come together to pack hundreds of Boxes of Love. These simple cardboard boxes are filled with everything necessary to make a holiday meal for a family of six: corn, beans, yams, stuffing, juice, cake mix, and even a ham or frozen turkey. Participating churches take home boxes to distribute in their own neighborhoods, and training is available for church members who would like to share the gospel with those to whom they deliver food.
This year we hope to distribute 800 Boxes of Love! We are trusting God to do some incredible things, and we hope that it will be used to expand His Kingdom here in Milwaukee. Please pray with us for the food and the churches that we partner with; that God would use us in incredible ways, and that we would catch a glimpse of His Glory!

The winter months in Milwaukee are cruel, especially for those who have no shelter from the wind and snow. Homeless Care Kits include gloves, socks, hats, blankets, and basic toiletry items. They are a great resource for the church or ministry that wants to demonstrate Christ’s love for those in need.
Starting the school year off with the right supplies can go a long way toward helping a child achieve academic success. We fill new backpacks with paper, pencils, notebooks, crayons, etc. and distribute these Power Packs to area churches and ministries who know (or want to know!) kids in their neighborhoods who need a jump start on their year. We also provide new shoes for children who might not otherwise be dressed for success.
Caring about the children in a family is a great way to reach the whole family! An Easter Bag, with its treats, small toys, and Scripture materials, will not only put a smile on a child’s face but will help that child—along with his or her whole family—understand the true meaning of Easter and the love of the Savior who died and rose for them!
