Planning to get a tan this spring break? Why not do something different? Here’s your chance to impact a city! In partnership with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, we offer a spring break mission trip for college students called Urban Immersion or Milwaukee Urban Plunge. Dive into this week of cross-cultural ministry and find yourself feeding the homeless, tutoring children, repairing an inner city church building, or sharing the gospel with a hurting mom at a bus stop. Vacation with a Purpose

Milwaukee isn’t on a list of top ten vacation spots, but you might be surprised at what our city has to offer: music, food, and more at summer ethnic festivals, baseball games in the new Brewer’s Stadium, striking architecture at the Milwaukee Art Museum, Harley-Davidson factory tours, cookouts on Bradley Beach, walks by Lake Michigan, and more. The dual purpose of Vacation with a Purpose is to allow you to enjoy Milwaukee’s attractions, while also learning more about the plight of the poor in our city. Summer in the City

Campus Crusade for Christ offers hundreds of summer missions opportunities for college students. Summer in the City Milwaukee is one of the most unique. Through a history-making partnership between Here’s Life Inner City and Campus Crusade’s Campus Ministry, we offer a taste of reality: two months spent in the heart of our beautiful city. You choose whether to spend your days working at an urban business (anything from McDonald’s to something in your field of study) or serving at an urban ministry (staffing a church’s day camp, organizing donations, providing childcare for abused moms, etc.). Either way you have the chance to bring the gospel to the people of the city. Evenings and weekends are spent in small group Bible study, training sessions on God’s heart for the poor and other topics, evangelistic outreaches, and fun social activities.
