Compassionate Products Coordinator

BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the direction of the City Director perform a broad range of duties that include: serving as a Here’s Life Inner City representative to churches and ministries, coordinating and developing existing and new compassionate product events, serving as a SAY Yes volunteer, and serving as a staff on short term missions projects.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:

Essential functions:
  • Assist City Director in building relationships, presenting ministry and developing partnerships with area churches.
  • Serve as liaison with assigned partner churches and ministries.
  • Coordinate in conjunction with other assigned staff compassionate products ministry projects such as Boxes of Love, Homeless Care Kits, Easter Bags and other compassionate products projects.
  • Develop new programs to foster suburban church ministry involvement with inner city ministries possibly involving compassionate products.
  • Serve as a SAY Yes! volunteer to resource local SAY Yes! partners.
  • Use TnT to closely track all partner activities.
  • Assist other staff in developing long term strategic plan and fiscal year plans and budget of local ministry.
  • Participate in assigned role on both student and family missions projects.
  • Reconcile own One Card payments electronically for office accounts.
Other duties may include, but not limited to:
  • Participate with local staff in training and evangelistic outreaches.
  • Participate in office meetings, retreats and other functions.
  • Perform clerical administrative duties as necessary.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of:
  • Organizational techniques
  • Various software applications used in contact tracking, web development and financial administration.
  • Intermediate accounting practices.
Ability to:
  • Work well on a team.
  • Work well independently.
  • Develop relationships with ministry leaders.
  • Understand and apply computer technology to small office settings.
  • Coordinate large and small ministry events.
  • Perform office administration duties.

EDUCATION:

Any combination equivalent to: a bachelor’s degree and two years experience in working in related setting.

WORKING CONDITIONS

You will work in an office environment with frequent travel to ministry partner sites.
